If you’re interested in treating your enamel erosion, then you’re on your way to stronger and healthier teeth! Enamel erosion can be a dangerous problem for your smile because it makes your teeth vulnerable to the development of cavities. It’s best to treat the erosion as soon as possible. To help you do so, our dentist, Dr. Michael Tobola, has some recommendations for you. Those recommendations are:

-Increase your fluoride exposure (Fluoride is a natural mineral that dives into the tooth enamel and strengthens it. It can be found in fluoridated water, fluoride toothpaste and fluoride mouthwash.)

-Keep up on oral hygiene (Make sure to brush, floss, and rinse regularly. But, don’t brush immediately after consuming something acidic. It’s best to wait 30 minutes.)

-Visit your dentist regularly (Attend your checkups every six months.)

-Consider a dental bonding treatment (This is necessary when the enamel erosion is too extensive and dangerous.)

-Consider dental veneers (This is necessary when the enamel erosion is too extensive and dangerous.)
